Hugh Jackman Plugs “The Wolverine” in Beijing
Showing some love to his Chinese fans, Hugh Jackman showed up at a press conference for “The Wolverine” in Beijing on Monday (October 14).
The “Real Steel” hunk donned a dark suit and chatted with members of the media with the help of a translator ahead of the film’s premiere.
Over the weekend, Hugh hosted a 45th birthday party for himself at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, raising money for the Motion Picture & Television Fund with a live performance.
Jackman, who raised $1.85 million that night, told press, "This is probably the most narcissistic way to spend your birthday. I chose my favorite songs and told stories about my life."
"A lot of guys would say to their wife, 'Do you mind if I go play golf with my buddies?' That's how I am about the show. I love it. If there's a song I don't like, I cut it and bring in a new song. Everything is something I want to do. So to be here tonight, supporting this cause — and it couldn't have been a more generous crowd if it tried — in every way it was great."
