Report: The Wanted’s Split is Record Label’s Fault
It’s always sad to see our favorite bands break up, and in the case of The Wanted it sounds like it wasn’t their call after all.
Per a report from GossipCop, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes were dropped from their record label Universal Music due to increasing costs.
The site’s insider claims, “It’s very expensive to keep a boy band going. Universal let them go,” and as a result there could be solo material from any or all of the members down the road.
Furthermore, Scooter Braun is “standing by the boys” and will keep a spot for them on his roster should things change in the future.
