With a new lady taking on the all-important title, Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron has been named 2010 Miss America during the competition's finals on Saturday night (January 30).

Wearing cute yellow dress, the 22-year-old beauty was given a $50,000 scholarship and the crown during the Planet Hollywood Resort held event hosted by Mario Lopez.

As for her life ambitions, Caressa is currently a broadcast journalism student at Virginia Commonwealth University - with aspirations of someday becoming a news anchor.

During the course of the competition, Miss Cameron was asked her thoughts on dealing with the ongoing problem of childhood obesity.

To this, the brunette beauty replied, "We need to get our kids back outside, playing with sticks in the street like I did when I was little. Expand your mind, go outside and get to see what this world is like."

As for winning the prestigious title of Miss America, Cameron credited her family before saying, "You can be and become anything that you want to be, even Miss America."
