VH1 Divas Salute the Troops: A Star-Studded Affair
Making for quite the star-studded celebration, a gathering of celebs teamed up for the taping of VH1 Divas Salute the Troops in Miramar, California on Friday night (December 3). Presented by the USO at the MCAS Miramar, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Keri Hilson and Jennifer Nettles were among the long list of performers taking the stage for the worthwhile cause.
With the show set to be televised on Sunday, December 5 at 9:00 PM ET/PT on VH1, sexy supermodel Marisa Miller and "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi tossed on armed forces garb while joining in on the festivities. Rounding out the slate of entertainers was Kathy Griffin, who took the stage in a skimpy lingerie ensemble while elatedly making out with a few studly military men. Commenting on the event, USO President Sloan Gibson previously told press, “The USO is thrilled to be partnering with VH1 and honored to be a part of delivering such an uplifting event to our nation’s troops. The holidays are especially tough for our men and women in uniform and their families, and having the opportunity to touch so many troops stationed around the world at a time of year that matters most lets them know that America still cares about their welfare. There is no better time to celebrate our armed forces and support their efforts than now.”
