He’s well-connected in the entertainment industry, and Jimmy Fallon got by with a little help from his friends during his first night as host of “The Tonight Show” on Monday (February 17).

Making the point that he was an unlikely choice to replace Jay Leno, Fallon declared, “To my buddy who said that I’d never be the host of ‘The Tonight Show,’ and you know who you are, you owe me a hundred bucks, buddy!”

From there, famous folks like Lady Gaga, Rudy Giuliani, Tina Fey, Mariah Carey, Lindsay Lohan, Mike Tyson and Kim Kardashian all came out to hand over a Benjamin. Stephen Colbert even plopped 10000 pennies on Jimmy and said, “Welcome to 11:30, b*tch!”

Additionally, Jimmy welcomed Will Smith to help him perform the Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing and musical guest U2 performed their new song “Invisible” from the roof of 30 Rockefeller Center.
