Tim Allen: "'The N-word' is Worse to Me Than N--ger"

Though his intention may have been to take some of the hate out of the word, Tim Allen is catching backlash after comments about the N-word made during an interview with the Tampa Bay Times.

Remembering comedians like Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor who used the word in their acts, the "Home Improvement" star explained, "You want to take the power away from that word so that no one is offended by it. [The phrase] ‘the N-word’ is worse to me than n--ger.”
