Terry Crews Takes the Hosting Reins on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”
He’s seems to be everywhere these days, and Terry Crews is adding one more item to his long list of job duties.
On Wednesday (May 7), the producers of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” announced that the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” actor is taking over for Cedric the Entertainer as host.
Kicking off the 13th season with a fresh face, the syndicated game show is also going through a number of other cost-saving benefits including moving production to Stamford, Connecticut for a tax benefit.
“Terry is engaging, endearing, smart, and quick on his feet — the perfect combination to lead one of the longest-running franchises in game show history,” said Janice Marinelli, president, Disney-ABC Domestic TV.
Crews chimed in his thoughts and said, “In addition to my film projects including Blended, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and now being a first time author, hosting has always been a dream of mine, and I couldn’t have asked for a greater opportunity.”
