During promotions for their brand new miniseries, Emile Hirsch and Holliday Grainger stepped out for the premiere of “Bonnie and Clyde” in New York City on Monday (December 2).

The on-screen duo took a moment to chat exclusively with GossipCenter on the red carpet before heading inside to celebrate their exciting project.

While discussing his role, Emile explained that he enjoyed portraying Clyde Barrow because, “It was a really well-written role, based a peculiar and interesting person from a long time ago. “

As for his research, the “Into the Wild” hunk explained that he used Jeff Gunn’s novel “Go Down Together” for helpful insight. “[It was] really interesting, very detailed account of Bonnie and Clyde’s exploits and life and their motivation.”

Emile added that he learned about Clyde’s horrible raping experience while in prison. When the notorious criminal was released, he found and killed the man who raped him.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old briefly touched on fatherhood to his new son and exclaimed, “It’s great! It’s hard to put into words.”
