CBS Axes "How I Met Your Dad"
Despite its early promotion, CBS has decided not to move forward with the new planned sitcom "How I Met Your Dad."
The network announced their decision on Wednesday (May 14) while unveiling its new schedule.
CBS chief Nina Tassler told gathered reporters that "certain creative elements" of the show did not work out, and urged show creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays to shoot a new pilot.
Thomas and Bays do not appear to be interested in shooting a new version, and are said to be shopping the series to other networks.
Per the synopsis, "How I Met Your Dad" follows "Sally (played by Greta Gerwig) on the journey of how she met her husband. She lives in New York with her friends, is getting divorced from her first husband, and has no idea what she is doing with her life."
