Taylor Swift Visits Children at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
Spending her day where she was needed most, Taylor Swift visited children suffering from cancer at New York’s Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Taking numerous selfies with children and teens, the 24-year-old pop singer also made a point of video chatting with both parents of the patients, as well as their friends.
Taylor didn’t make any mention of her gesture online, but we figured we would let the patients’ parents and guardians speak for her:
"We are still in awe, Taylor Swift is a class act all around, she was so sweet, compassionate, asked US questions, got on skype with my other daughter, stayed in our room and talked with us and was completely down to earth. She hung out with us for at least 15-20 minutes. She was ‘scheduled’ to be on our floor for 1 hour, but was here for 4.5 hours instead. Thank you Taylor, you are a beautiful woman inside and out!!" "Thank you @taylorswift13 for making my cousin Ashley SO happy before her difficult week ahead. She can't stop smiling" (Twitter via @iindseylay).
"Thank you @taylorswift13 for making Rachel's day. She deserves all the world, and you helped" (Twitter via @katcalifuh).
"@taylorswift13 and a friend of mine at the NYC hospital today. she has such a heart of gold. i love her so much" (Twitter via @WeLoveTimMcGraw).
"Jaylee met Taylor Swift today!!!... What a love story!!" (Facebook via Keri Mammone)
"Brynlee also had a very special visitor today. Can anyone guess who this is? We probably should have taken our masks off for one picture. Oh well. If I already told you who came to visit, you're not allowed to ruin the guessing game. Very nice visitor. She even got a few smiles from Brynlee" (Facebook via Princess Warrior Brynlee).
