Taylor Swift Pulls the Plug on Bangkok Concert Due to Coup
She’s been in all kinds of tense situations with the opposite sex (hence all of her hit songs) but Taylor Swift isn’t about to tangle with a political coup.
The “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer has cancelled her sold-out June 9th concert in Bangkok, Thailand due to the fact that the city is under military rule.
Following the coup d’etat, Swifty and concert promoter BEC-Tero decided to nix the gig, telling press, “Due to recent events in Thailand, the show is cancelled. It was a difficult decision for all parties.”
Taylor also took to Twitter to express her dismay- “I’m sending my love to the fans in Thailand. I’m so sad about the concert being cancelled.”
