It’s an exciting time for Taylor Swift fans, as she has a new album coming in October and the first single “Shake It Off” is already here, complete with a fun-filled music video.

The “I Knew You Were Trouble” songstress announced on Monday (August 18) that she’ll drop 1989 (named after her birth year) on October 27th, noting it’s her “very first, documented, official pop album.”

Swift explained, “The inspiration behind the record, I was listening to a lot of late-80s pop. That was a time of just limitless potential; wear what you want, be who you want, love who you want.”

“I like to work on albums for two years because two years gives you enough time to grow and change. I woke up every single day that I was recording this record not wanting, but needing to make a new style of music that I had never made before.”

Furthermore, superfans can also get their hands on some extra goodies- “I have three bonus tracks that are just voice memos from my phone.”

The lead single from 1989 is called “Shake It Off,” and it’s definitely a toe-tapping, positive-vibing pop song with encouraging lyrics.

She sings, “I go on too many dates/But I can’t make them stay/At least that’s what people say,” followed by the chorus:

“Cause the players gonna play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate
Baby I’m just gonna shake, shake, shake
Shake it off
Heartbreakers gonna break, break, break
And the fakers gonna fake, fake, fake
Baby I’m just gonna shake, shake, shake
Shake it off, Shake it off.”
