Susan Boyle Sings for the Pope
Her wish came true earlier today (September 16), as Susan Boyle sang for the Pope in a ceremony marking the end of his open air mass in Scotland.
The former “Britain's Got Talent” contestant belted out the Catholic hymn “Make Me A Channel of Your Peace” at the park in Glasgow where Pope Benedict XVI was saying his goodbyes to church leaders.
Dressed in a long black coat and heels, the 49-year-old also sang her signature “I Dreamed a Dream” and “How Great Thou Art” which brought the crowd to a standing ovation.
"It's something I've always dreamed of, it's something I've always wanted to do, and here I am, finally getting the chance," Boyle told Sky News.
