Amy Adams Cast as Lois Lane in "Superman" Reboot
Garnering yet another high profile gig, Amy Adams is the latest addition to an already star-studded cast being put together for Zack Snyder's "Superman" reboot.
The redheaded actress with be playing the well-known role of journalist Lois Lane, a character having previously been portrayed by Phyllis Coates, Margot Kidder and Kate Bosworth.
Announcing the selection of Miss Adams on Sunday (March 27), director Snyder said, “Second only to Superman himself, the question of who will play Lois Lane is arguably what fans have been most curious about. So we are excited to announce the casting of Amy Adams, one of the most versatile and respected actresses in films today. Amy has the talent to capture all of the qualities we love about Lois: smart, tough, funny, warm, ambitious and, of course, beautiful."
Amy joins current cast members Henry Cavill, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane, with "Superman: Man of Steel" slated to be released in December 2012.
