"Twilight" Author Stephenie Meyer Announces New Book
Adding on to the already-unmatched vampire craze, Stephanie Meyer definitely knows how to please her fans.
While many were devastated when the “Twilight” author announced she was not going to be publishing “Midnight Sun,” she found another way to make her fans happy.
On Tuesday, the best-selling author explained that she wants to add a different fifth installment to “The Twilight Saga” called “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner,” a novella which follows one of Eclipse’s newborn vampires.
"Her story is a nice complement to ‘Eclipse,’" Meyer wrote on her site. "It explains a lot of the things that Bella never knew.” The book, which was used as a reference during the filming of Eclipse, will be released in hardcover June 5, with $1 from every purchase going to the American Red Cross. It will also be available for free online at breetanner.com from June 7 to July 5.
