Jordin Sparks Premieres “Sparkle” in Motown
Stepping out for a very special event, Jordin Jordin Sparks attended the premiere of her new film “Sparkle” in Detroit suburb Royal Oak, Michigan last night (August 5).
Joined by singing legends Aretha Franklin and Martha Reeves and R&B crooner Keith Washington, the “American Idol” alum looked gorgeous as she posed outside the Emagine Royal Oak Theater.
During her interview, Jordin noted that getting to work with the late Whitney Houston in the film was amazing, though ever since her death earlier this year things have been tough- "It comes in waves. Sometimes I can't believe she's not here."
Meanwhile, Franklin paid Sparks a great compliment, stating that she was perfect for the film- “She was an excellent choice. She has a lot of class.”
“Sparkle” is about three sisters who form a girl group in the 1960s and soon become Motown sensations, but fame becomes a challenge as the close-knit family begins to fall apart. It hits theaters August 17th.
