Shia LeBeouf & Alec Baldwin: Heading for Broadway
Taking his established acting talents to the stage, Shia LaBeouf is set to make his Broadway debut with Alec Baldwin next year.
Producers of the new show “Orphans” made the announcement on Tuesday (December 11) confirming that both stars will portray characters in the play about parentless brothers.
Shia will portray Treat, a character who resorts to criminal actions in order to support his slow-minded brother Phillip. Casting for the role of Phillip has not been announced.
Baldwin will portray a wealthy man that Treat kidnaps. This is the “30 Rock” actor’s first stage role since 2004 when he starred in a revival of “Twentieth Century.”
Preview performances being on March 19 and it opens on April 7 at the Schoenfeld Theatre in New York City.
