Selena Gomez Chats with DJ Skee

Always up to something, Selena Gomez recently sat down with DJ Skee on his Los Angeles KIIS FM show "The New Music Show."

The “Wizards of Waverly Place” darling chatted with Skee about everything from her single going gold, what new artists she is listening to, her love of the band Paramore and what new projects she has in the works.

Asked how she got into music, Selena replied, “Well, music has always been a part of my life. I was named after a singer and my family raised me to be musically involved. But I feel that professionally it is something always I wanted to do but I kept it inside because I wanted to focus on my show.”

Also asked if she has any regrets about being thrown into the spotlight at such a young age, the 17-year-old tells, “No, not at all. I love what I do. I do understand that it’s kind of different than how most people are brought up. But my mom and my family have been great in keeping normality.”

As for what’s in store for the future, Miss Gomez dished, “I’m working on my clothing line and also possibly a second record and my show.”
