Nick Searcy Talks Old Beef with Sean Penn
It's no secret that some conservatives feel like outsiders in Hollywood and recently, Nick Searcy talked about drawing the wrath of Sean Penn after voicing his political opinions.
The "Justified" star spoke to The Blaze about a beef with the well-known liberal actor that began about ten years ago.
Having worked together in the 2004 movie, "The Assassination of Richard Nixon," the 55-year-old actor said that it all started when he made comments about their political disagreements.
What followed was an exchange of emails with Sean, in which Searcy claims he "wrote back with something even nastier," which caused Searcy to respond, "Congratulations on your Oscar — now do me a favor and shine it up real nice and stick it up your a*s so you can see it when you wake up in the morning, because that’s where your head is."
However, the tiff was long ago and the star of the hit FX show admits, "Maybe he was having a bad day," noting that he's received positive messages from Penn through mutual friends since then.
