Reuniting with his "Will & Grace" co-star Debra Messing, Sean Hayes will join her series "Smash" for several guest appearances.

The "Three Stooges" actor will play Terrence Falls, a comedy star who is making his Broadway debut in the musical "Liaisons," based on the novel "Les Liaisons Dangereuses," according to NBC. Reportedly, his character will be a major thorn in the side of other characters.

On Monday (August 13), the 42-year-old tweeted his excitement, commenting, "I’m very excited to be guest-starring in a multi-episode arc on @NBCSmash this season. Back to Broadway… sort of :)"

The Broadway vet is no stranger to the scene. He hosted the Tony Awards in 2010 while he was nominated for his role in "Promises, Promises."

Also set to guest star is former "American Idol" contestant Jennifer Hudson. The second season of the show starts in January.
