SNL Finale Recap: Mick Jagger Hosts, Kristen Wiig Says Farewell
Bringing a close to the 37th season of the long-running NBC show, Mick Jagger took over hosting duties on yesterday's (May 19) finale episode of "Saturday Night Live".
After a 'Lawrence Welk Cold Open' featuring Kristen Wiig and Jon Hamm in which "Dooneese found love, Italian-style" kicked things off, the Rolling Stones rocker took the Studio 8H stage while offering up a monologue in which he answered 'frequently asked questions' about himself.
During the course of the show, skits included a hilarious Mick Jagger impression in “Karaoke,” Stefon’s summertime picks on Weekend Update, a cameo by Steve Martin in “The Californians,” and Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell in “Lazy Sunday 2.”
Meanwhile, the major highlight of the show saw SNL bid farewell to departing cast member Miss Wiig via a high school graduation themed piece titled 'She's A Rainbow' - as Kristen announced that she's ending her run on the program after a hilarious seven years.
Capping it all off, the Jagger hosted installment of "Saturday Night Live" had numerous musical performances including Mick with Arcade Fire (The Last Time), Mick with Foo Fighters (Medley) and Mick with Jeff Beck (Tea Party).
