As the long-standing head writer and host of Weekend Update prepares to take over "Late Night," Melissa McCarthy took the reins for a hilarious "SNL" sendoff on Saturday (February 1).

Among the notable sketches were a Super Bowl-themed cold open, a Valentine's Day commercial for forgetful boyfriends, "Guess That Phrase," and a music video for Black History Month.

Of course, a few special guests were in town for Seth's emotional sendoff, including Amy Poehler, Stefon (Bill Hader), Fred Armisen, and Andy Samberg.

As for the musical portion of the show, Imagine Dragons performed their hit, "Demons," and Kendrick Lamar joined the band for their first tune, "Radioactive."

After a brief hiatus until March, head writer Colin Jost will step in to replace the departing host of Weekend Update, alongside Cecily Strong. Check out some highlights from the show below.
