By now everyone has seen the video of an alleged elevator altercation between Jay Z and his sister-in-law Solange Knowles, and “Saturday Night Live” saw fit to clear things up with a hilarious fake interview over the weekend.

During the show’s cold open, Jay Pharaoh played the “99 Problems” rapper while Sasheer Zamata depicted Ms. Knowles, constantly watched by security guard Kenan Thompson.

Jay began, “By now many of you have seen the footage of me and Solange in the elevator,’ followed by Sasheer, who added, “Let me tell you once and for all what I think of this man. I love him.”

They proceeded to explain that Knowles had only tried to get a spider off of Jay’s shoulder, rather than actually attack him in the elevator following the 2014 Met Gala earlier this month.

Solange stated, “We’re asking y’all in the media to leave us alone,” before Jay chimed in, “I’m sure you’re all wondering why Bey is not here tonight. She’s off making another sexually aggressive music video about a monogamous relationship.”

However, it turns out a fake Beyoncé Knowles was in the house, courtesy of past SNL cast member Maya Rudolph. Check it out below!
