Sarah Jessica Parker Set to Launch SJP Shoe Collection
Well known as a shoe aficionado in "Sex & the City," Sarah Jessica Parker is now launching her very own footwear collection called SJP.
What better partner to foray into the design world than Manolo Blahnik, whose name frequently graced the lips of Carrie Bradshaw.
Speaking about the venture with Vogue, the 48-year-old actress noted, "In a silly way, I think it's what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw. Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes and by default I learned an enormous amount. It's hard to walk away from that."
As for what the line will offer, SJP explains, "We're putting new colors together that people don't typically do, just beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet. And in terms of bags, thinking about that period of the seventies into the eighties, what those women were carrying, taking away the bells and the whistles and hardware and really making it about the bag."
