Ryan Gosling's Smoke-Filled "Gangster Squad" Re-Shoot
Flashing back to the 1950's, Ryan Gosling puffed on a cigarette while filming re-shoots for "Gangster Squad" in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (August 23).
The handsome "Notebook" star arrived on-set with muddy boots and a blue baseball cap while walking a dog, before changing into his thug costume made up of brown slacks, a fedora hat and a white button-up.
Ryan has been working late into the night the past few days as he and his co-stars scramble to create a new ending to "Gangster Squad" in wake of the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting.
The original ending showed mobsters opening fire on a crowded theater from behind the movie screen; the film follows LAPD's fight to keep East Coast Mafia types out of LA in the 1940's and 50's.
Warner Bros. Studios has pushed back the release date from early September to January 11th in order to make the necessary changes; because of the delay the movie will not be eligible for this year's Academy Awards.
