Ryan Gosling Ditches “Logan’s Run”
He’s quickly becoming one of his generation’s most prolific actors, but Ryan Gosling won’t be starring in “Logan’s Run” after all.
According to a report from Variety the “Lars and the Real Girl” guy has pulled out of the project, though no reason has been cited for the decision.
Also up for speculation is whether or not Gosling’s “Drive” director Nicolas Winding Refn has chosen to remain on the gig.
Starring Rose Byrne, “Logan’s Run” is “based on a 1967 novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. The premise sees a future society that demands the death of everyone upon reaching a certain age. Anyone who veers from that destiny is dubbed a ‘runner’ and is hunted by operatives known as Sandmen. Logan is a Sandman who is forced to go on the run.”
