Ryan Gosling: “Gangster Squad” Re-Shoots in Chinatown
Working late into the evening, Ryan Gosling was busy on the set of his period crime drama “Gangster Squad” last night (August 21).
The “Lars and the Real Girl” stud rolled through Los Angeles’ Chinatown district in a classic automobile before hopping out and running lines in full costume as fans watched from a distance.
“Gangster Squad” was originally due for a fall release, but after the July 20th Aurora, Colorado movie theater shootings, it was determined that the film would need to remove a similar scene of violence.
Hence, Warner Bros ordered the re-shoots and pushed the street date back from September 7th, 2012 until January 11th, 2013.
Per the film’s permit, it sounds like Ryan and his crew had quite the evening. They were cleared for "Exterior automatic, single-shot and semi-automatic full-load gunfire (gun battle), simulated bullet effects on body. Truck explosion. Firecrackers."
