The 22-year-old singer adorned herself in designer items from the likes of Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney for the spread while opening up about everything from her sense of style to considering Beyoncé Knowles a role model.

On her female role models:
“Growing up I loved Beyoncé and Gwen Stefani because they were honest girls, but people always need a new role model relevant to them. I find it exciting that girls have really connected with me and my music and that I have the power to change someone’s life in three minutes, to wake them up.”
On her sense of style:
"I love flamboyancy and glamour and elegance. I love that over-exaggerated style. I’m a boy girl. I love my trainers and mixing comfort with sleek, clean lines."
On sharing the stage with Chris Martin:
"Performing in front of 50,000 people was such a great confidence-booster. Me and Chris Martin are similar onstage – we don’t do the same thing twice. It made me feel like I could take over the world."
