Rita Ora in Glamour August 2014: There Are So Many Hot Girls Out There – You Have to Make An Impression!
Featured in the August 2014 issue, the blonde bombshell opened up to the publication about the importance of standing out from the crowd.
Check out highlights from Rita’s interview below and for more, head over to Glamour!
On the importance of nail art:
“Nail art is definitely not over. I like having a little something that catches people’s eye. I love that as women, we can decorate ourselves like Christmas trees—well, not exactly like that but the same idea. We can put makeup on, do things to our hair. So why not?”
On dressing up:
“Some people are intimidated to wear a bold lip or eye, but I think it’s nice to stand out. I was such a tomboy as a kid; I was on the football team. But now I love dressing up and putting on makeup.”
On her best beauty skill:
“What I’m really proud of is being able to put lipstick on without a mirror. (Red lips are my thing; I honestly can’t be me without them.) I could apply it on a roller coaster! I’m going to film myself doing that and put it on YouTube. Just wait.”
On the power of perfume:
“I wear fragrance all the time. It’s more about how it makes me feel, rather than other people noticing. When you smell good, you feel more confident. It heightens the senses and activates them. I think that’s really empowering as a female.”
On her unique style:
“There are so many hot girls out there; you have to make an impression. We’re doing a braided pigtail thing tonight.”
