Enjoying a sure-to-be-remembered moment in her life, Rihanna and her grandfather joined together to attend the unveiling ceremony for her late grandmother’s memorial at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados on Saturday (December 22).
On Monday, the “Diamonds” songstress posted a photo of her and her “grand pops” on her Instagram page, with a caption reading, “Me and grand pops in Barbados at the unveiling ceremony in memory of #granDolly at QEH.”
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Ri Ri donated a whopping $1.75 million to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, which helped to establish a radiotherapy department and will now be renamed the Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine.
In a statement to E! News, the 24-year-old said, “This was my way of giving back to Barbados, in a form of philanthropy, by assisting the QEH in its continued modernization program...I believe that this will have a huge impact on the people of Barbados. This was all done to save lives or at least extend them."
