Gearing up for Sunday's big awards show, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were spotted at Santa Monica’s Buffalo Club for the Golden Globes reception on Friday (January 9).

The "Legally Blonde" beauty and her "Brokeback Mountain" beau mingled with fellow guests like Cameron Diaz and Gwen Stefani before sneaking out the back door and making their way to an awaiting car.

As for the Golden Globe awards, they'll be taking over the Beverly Hilton Hotel with the show airing live at 8pm EST on NBC.

During the course of the evening, Jake is slated as one of the show's presenters, joining the likes of Johnny Depp, Zac Efron, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria Parker, Megan Fox and Mark Wahlberg.
