Sean Penn's Help Haiti Home Draws Plenty of Generous Stars
During this year's busy awards season, many celebs took time out to support a good cause at the Sean Penn & Friends Help Haiti Home gala in Beverly Hills on Saturday (January 11).
It seems the "Gangster Squad" actor has plenty of friends as tons of famous faces came out, including Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, Chelsea Handler, Paris Hilton, Diane Kruger, Michael Douglas, Pamela Anderson, Emma Thompson, and his new flame, Charlize Theron.
Hosted by Anderson Cooper, the dinner party included a surprise performance by U2, who hadn't performed together in four years.
By the end of the evening, nearly $6 million was raised for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, thanks in part to the host's winning bid of $1.4 million for a sculpture to be made from Sean's 65 trashed firearms.
