Prince William to Honor Dame Helen Mirren at the BAFTA Awards

Royalty will be honored by royalty, as Prince William, President of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, is set to present Helen Mirren with the Fellowship award.

Kensington Palace made the announcement on Wednesday (February 5) and the BAFTA stated that the prince will walk the red carpet at London's Royal Opera House, watch the ceremony and also bestow the highest Academy honor upon the 68-year-old award winner.

Amanda Berry chief executive of BAFTA, stated, "We are delighted to welcome our President back to the EE British Academy Film Awards. The Duke loves film and he is incredibly supportive of the work BAFTA does."

Dame Helen will be receiving her award for her performance in the 2006 biographical drama, "The Queen," in which she played Prince Williams's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, for which she also won a Golden Globe!
