He’s been hard at work on his first album ever since winning Season 11 of “American Idol,” and finally Phillip Phillips has announced a release date.

The 22-year-old singer will drop The World From The Side of the Moon on November 19th, the same day as Kelly Clarkson’s greatest hits record.

So far, Phillip has found traction with his single “Home,” which has sold upwards of 2 million downloads to date.

Phillips previously told press, "I've written with people who aren't like me, then I've written with people who totally get it. It's like a blind date, and you never know what's going to happen."

"But it's really cool because they learn from you and you learn a little bit from them. And sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't. I'm more critical about my writing, and I've worked with some people who are even more critical, and I like that. You just learn new things from different people ... I've worked with some cool people so far."
