Pharrell Williams: “I Am Sorry” For Native American Headdress Offense
As one of the top trendsetters in popular culture, Pharrell Williams' influence can be found in many different genres of music.
However, when the “Get Lucky” singer posed on the cover of Elle UK wearing a Native American feathered headdress, he hit a resounding sour note.
In response to the widespread criticism of his choice of headwear, Pharrell told the New York Daily News, “I respect and honor every kind of race, background and culture. I am genuinely sorry.”
Back in 2012, Mr. Williams told Oprah magazine that he has Native American bloodlines in his genetic background.
