Orlando Bloom Speaks Out From Syrian Border
He’s one of the world’s best-known actors, so Orlando Bloom is using his fame to draw attention to the plight of refugees at the Za’atari camp.
On Thursday (April 10) the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star toured the grounds, near the Syrian border, meeting with children who have suffered as a result of the four-year conflict.
Orlando emphatically explained, “These children have witnessed more extreme violence than any child should.”
“What is most terrifying is that they become a lost generation. Without urgently needed education, protection and psychological support, their pain and bitterness will turn into aggression years from now.”
