Nick Cannon Goes in White Face to Promote New Album
Raising a few eyebrows, Nick Cannon appeared in white face to promote his new album White People Party Music on social media this week.
Having fun with the transformation, the "America's Got Talent" host wrote, "It's official... I'm White!!! #WHITEPEOPLEPARTYMUSIC #Wppm in stores April 1st!!!!!!Dude Go Get It!!!Join The Party!!!! #GoodCredit #DogKissing #BeerPong #FarmersMarkets #FistPumping #CreamCheeseEating #RacialDraft 'Bro I got drafted!!'"
Named Connor Smallnut, the character drew instant criticism from viewers. When asked how it felt to be white, he replied, "Great, I'm no longer afraid of the Police!! LOL."
Later, Mariah Carey's husband defended the stunt, posting a picture of Robert Downey Jr.'s character in "Tropic Thunder" with the caption, "Shout out to @RobertDowneyJr This is one of my favorite characters of all time! Hilarious!!! There is a big difference between Humor and Hatred."
He certainly got people talking though and time will tell if it spurs album sales when White People Party Music drops on April 1. Could it be just an April Fool's joke? Check out Connor in action below.
