Pia Toscano: Teen Vogue Vixen

In a recent interview, Pia confessed that Simon Cowell wasn’t fond of her during her multiple audition attempts on “Idol” over the years.

“Simon Cowell was never a big fan of mine, which is all good. I loved him on the show. I like watching him, but I don't like being judged by him. The panel change was really cool this year. We had Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler,Randy [Jackson], who has pretty much watched me grow. I feel like the judges had a really good dynamic, and since they've been in our shoes before, and they know what it feels like to be rejected and go through that whole audition process, they helped us grow and critiqued us in a way that they knew what things we should improve on, instead of just saying, ‘That was terrible,’ and us not knowing which way to go from there.”

As for the “American Idols Tour,” Pia shared, “The tour has been awesome; it's been so much fun! I don't even know what the date is today, because I'm constantly somewhere else. That's the crazy thing. We're having so much fun together, and we were competing with each other on the show, but the thing is, we were all always close on the show. Even though it was a competition, we supported each other, because we're all so unique. None of us really have the same sound. We just wanted the best for each other. Now that that's all gone, we're like a tight-knit family. We're a little dysfunctional at times, but it's so much fun, and just thinking about the tour coming to an end is sad to me, because I'm going to miss these guys so much.”
