"Peter Pan Live" Musical Comes to NBC Following Success of "The Sound of Music"
Following the fantastic success of Carrie Underwood's adaptation of "The Sound of Music," which brought in nearly 19 million viewers, a production of "Peter Pan" itself is set come to NBC!
The iconic flying boy in green will receive a live adaptation on December 4th of this year, and Robert Greenblatt, boss of NBC, made the announcement Sunday (January 19) at the 2014 Winter TCA Press Tour.
Of the proposal to bring the boy who will never grow up to the small screen, Grennblatt said, "We had so much doing a big musical that the family could watch over the holidays, so we're going to do it again."
"Get ready for flying children and some start-of-the-art technology for Tinkerbell." he continued, also joking that, although casting information will be released later, "I want Miley Cyrus!"
