Naomi Watts Scores Princess Diana Gig
Gearing up for what could be the defining role of her career, Naomi Watts has been named as the lead in an upcoming biopic about the late Princess Diana.
The “King Kong” actress will star in “Caught In Flight,” under the direction of Oliver Hirschbiegel.
Scheduled to begin filming later this year in the UK, the film will center on Princess Di’s last two years of life as well as her humanitarian efforts.
Watts told press, “It is such an honor to be able to play this iconic role – Princess Diana was loved across the world, and I look forward to rising to the challenge of playing her on screen.”
