She’s never had to rely on cheap sexuality to win over fans, and last night (August 24) Taylor Swift kept it classy and fun at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

Sporting a flirty flapper-inspired getup, the “Mean” songstress performed her new single “Shake It Off” for the first time live, along with a brigade of suited and booted male backup dancers.

And after the show was over, Taylor took to her Twitter account to share a few observations from the big event.

Swifty tweeted, "So basically I'm LOSING MY LITTLE MIND because tonight I got to see my friends @edsheeran and @lordemusic with their first #VMAs,” followed by, “I'm glad everyone's discovering Jessie J! Met Iggy in an elevator and she was super nice. Every time I see Blue Ivy, I cry. #VMAs.”
