26th Annual GLAAD Media Awards Nominees Announced

Every year the folks over at GLAAD seek to honor media figures for fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the LGBT community and the 26th Annual GLAAD Media Awards just unveiled the nominees.

GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis told E! News, "For nearly 30 years, the GLAAD Media Awards have raised the bar for inclusion in news and entertainment, transforming LGBT representation in media and moving the dial for acceptance across the globe. It's been a remarkable year for equality, and nowhere is that more evident than in the visibility LGBT people have gained across media.”

She loves taking on new challenges, and Kristen Stewart told Yahoo! Movies that although she’s never been in a Marvel or DC Comics movie, she’d be willing to consider it.

The “Twilight Saga: New Moon” actress explained, “I love watching those movies. I would love to show people that I can do more than just be ‘Kristen Stewart’ in a different movie, in a different circumstance. I’m sure I could get on board with Captain America, you know what I mean? It would just have to be the right thing.”

Per a press release today (January 19), the e-commerce giant stated, “Amazon plans to produce and acquire original movies for theatrical release and early window distribution on Amazon Prime Instant Video.”


“Selma” Stars March For Martin Luther King Jr Day
