Playing at 3,761 locations nationwide, the much-anticipated film brought in $56.2 million, ahead of Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar,” which scored $50 million at 3,561 screens.

According to director Francis Lawrence, every time Plutarch Heavensbee appears onscreen it’s really him. “We’re not creating anything digital. We’re only using real footage. Phil shows us who Plutarch really is.”
