It’s been a couple of weeks since Lionsgate unveiled the official “Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” trailer at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con and now the rest of the world is getting a taste.

The new preview almost feels bittersweet because it signifies the beginning of the end for the popular franchise. And one thing is for sure- Katniss and her crew are going out with a bang!

With so many projects in the pipeline, it’s almost hard to believe that Disney just greenlit a live action remake of the 1963 animated movie “The Sword in the Stone.”

Produced by “Pirates of the Caribbean” honcho Bringham Taylor and written by “Game of Thrones” scribe Brian Cogman, the forthcoming film is already in development.

There’s an old saying that the sequel is never as good as the original, however Gillian Flynn may have what it takes to break the curse.

While promoting the forthcoming movie adaptation of her book “Dark Places,” the “Gone Girl” author hinted that there could be a follow-up book (and accompanying film) down the line- “I don’t know if I could go back to the Dunnes quite yet. I think about it every once and awhile. I do. I do. It’s hard to shake sometimes.”

Per an industry snitch, Lucasfilm and Disney have their sights set on the “Usual Suspects” stud for the follow-up to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which will hit theaters on December 18th, 2015.


“Ant Man” Nabs Top Spot at Weekend Box Office

It was a respectable opening weekend for Paul Rudd's latest flick “Ant Man,” as moviegoers bought $57.3 million worth of tickets to land it at number one.

The Marvel/Disney film managed to beat last week’s top dog “Minions,” which raked in an additional $50.2 million and wound up in second place.
