As the past year comes to an end, GossipCenter looks back on five young actors who made their mark on Hollywood in 2013.

Whether it was snatching up their first Oscar win at the ripe age of 22 or starring in multiple blockbuster hits, these budding stars are sure to be around for a while as they climb up the ranks in Tinseltown.

Jennifer Lawrence:
She made her big debut in 2012 with "The Hunger Games" and "Silver Linings Playbook," but 2013 was all about Jennifer Lawrence.

From her charming interviews, down-to-earth acceptance speeches and lack of filter, the Oscar-winning actress proved she's got a lot more to give after her big win. In addition, her films this year proved she's got critics and moviegoers in her corner. The highly-anticipated sequel, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" raked in over $765 million in global ticket sales.

Late this year, Oscar buzz flew about as "American Hustle" hit theaters - a film which reunited JLaw with Bradley Cooper and director David. O. Russell from "Silver Linings Playbook." With all her accumulated success in 2013, you'll be sure to see a lot of Lawrence next year.

Chloe Moretz:
Sweet 16 is truly sweet for Chloe Grace Moretz, who showed she can transition from child star into a true Hollywood leading lady.

Along with guest appearances on hit shows like "30 Rock" and "American Dad!," the teen actress returned to her beloved role as "Hit-Girl" in "Kick-Ass 2."

Later, she nabbed an exciting gig, getting the chance to appear in the remake of the horror classic, "Carrie." Starring in the title role, Chloe paired with Julianne Moore, who played her mother, for a memorable adaptation.

With several upcoming big screen projects in the work, it seems likely that Chloe will cement her place on the A-list in Tinseltown in 2014.

Emma Roberts:
Her famous aunt helped get her foot in the door, but Emma Roberts has truly forged her own identity in 2013.

After appearing in a couple of smaller films including "Empire State" and "Adult World," the 22-year-old actress found huge box office success with the summer blockbuster, "We're the Millers." With costars like Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis, the comedy helped propel Emma's popularity.

In addition, Roberts snagged an exciting recurring role in the super popular FX series, "American Horror Story," alongside her real-life boyfriend, Evan Peters. We're excited to see what next year brings for this beautiful starlet.

Jaden Smith:
He's just one of the three Smith children in the entertainment industry and Jaden Smith started creeping out of Will's shadow in 2013.

In the past he's had big roles in "The Pursuit of Happyness" and "The Karate Kid," but the 15-year-old actor got time to shine this year in "After Earth."

Though Big Willie added some starpower to the flick, the movie was truly a vehicle for Jaden, whose character was charged with finding help when his father is injured in a crash landing.

Also working hard on a music career, the teen is well-known for his popular and sometimes controversial Twitter account and his friendships with fellow teen stars including Kylie Jenner.

Shailene Woodley:
She cut her teeth performing alongside George Clooney in "The Descendants," and now Shailene Woodley is ready to show audiences what she can do.

After a successful run in "The Secret Live of the American Teenager," the 22-year-old actress made her return to the big screen in "The Spectacular Now."

For her starring role, the brunette beauty was recognized by the Sundance Film Festival, Gotham Awards, and the San Diego Film Critics Society, among others.

Of the handful of movie projects in the works, Shailene was tapped to star in the highly-anticipated "Divergent," based on the popular young adult book trilogy. The role means Ms. Woodley is still on the up-and-up and poised for a successful 2014.
