Box Office: "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" Fronts Quiet Weekend
For the third week in a row, Vampires are on pace to once again take top honors at the box office for the weekend of November 30- December 2, 2012.
Summit Entertainment’s final installment of the “Twilight” franchise "Breaking Dawn Part 2" took first place, taking in $5.4 million on Friday, with an expected $16.5 million weekend for the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart fronted drama.
Holding strong in the runner up spot is the “007” thriller “Skyfall.” Starring Daniel Craig, the film took in $4.8 million on Friday and is on pace to rake in $16.2 million in its fourth weekend.
Filling out the box office on the quiet post- Thanksgiving weekend in earmarked earnings are the Daniel Day Lewis historical drama “Lincoln” ($13.9 million) in third, followed by Fox’s “Life of Pi” ($12.7 million) in fourth and Dreamworks Animation’s “Rise of the Guardians ($12.2 million) in fifth.
