John Malkovich Being Stanley Kubrick
Perhaps one of the most ideal roles ever given to the unique actor, John Malkovich plays Stanley Kubrick… sort of.
Underlined as being "A True ... ish Story," Color Me Kubrick is the ideal role for the comically ludicrous John Malkovich. Malkovich plays Alan Conway, a con-artist who devotes several months to tricking people that he is Kubrick.
Malkovich, who is known for his entertainingly strange performances in movies such as Being John Malkovich and In the Line of Fire, received one of his most ludicrous roles to date when he played the oddball Alan Conway. In England, Conway conned folks into believing he was the real Kubrick, drinking, swindling and constantly changing his distant version of the solitary Kubrick.
So, in Color Me Kubrick we have the always different Malkovich being the two faced nutcase Alan Conway, being the more than bizarre deceased Stanley Kubrick. The concept is as strange as the movie.
