Dominican Republic to Miley Cyrus: Stay Away!
It’s no secret that her live shows push the envelope of good taste and propriety and it turns out Miley Cyrus is simply too racy for the Dominican Republic.
On Thursday (August 21), a government spokesperson announced that the “Party in the USA” singer would not be granted a permit to perform in Santo Domingo on September 13th.
The statement explained that “Miley undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law.”
Given that tickets for the gig have been on sale since July, fans will receive refunds for the purchase price, anywhere from $27 up to $370.
