Michelle Williams Signs On For “Cabaret” Broadway Debut
She’s proven her acting chops in both television and feature films and now Michelle Williams is ready to give the stage a shot.
The “My Week with Marilyn” starlet will star as Sally Bowles in the Roundabout Theater Company production of “Cabaret,” alongside Alan Cumming.
Ms. Williams scored the gig, originally played by the legendary Liza Minelli, after Emma Stone backed out earlier this year.
The pre-production work will begin in the coming months, and producers have stated that preview performances should kick off early next year.
A Roundabout rep told press, “We’ll be announcing information shortly, which will also be on roundabouttheatre.org.”
