Unable to work things out, Michelle Williams has ended her relationship with director Spike Jonze.

"The timing was impossible," she tells Vogue magazine. "I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated."

Michelle moved on with after the sudden death of ex Heath Ledger, with whom she has a 3-year-old daughter, Matilda.

Previously telling that dating with a child is tough, Michelle revealed, "I obviously don't know how to do it [date]”.
